Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my own CryptoChart product?

You can request a CryptoChart box by contacting us at 877-668-2723. You can also start the process by clicking the "Get Started" button that is located at the top of each CryptoChart page. 

What does "getting started" look like?

You will first need to submit the Getting Started form found here. Once that's done, installation instructions will be sent to the email address you provide. Your email will also contain a link to the web page that contains other resources to support your success.  If you don't see the email within a few hours, please check your spam folder before resubmitting the form.

What happens after you fill out the form? 

After filling out the form, you will be redirected to another page where you can download your software. You will also receive a walkthrough to guide you through installation. 

Who will benefit from CryptoChart?

Any facility that shares medical images through burning patient CDs will benefit from using codes (yes, that means you!). Codes save time and money over CDs, and unlike most image sharing services they do not require a username or password.

Can I use CryptoChart even if I don’t use Novarad’s PACS?

Absolutely. You are not required to be using any other Novarad products to utilize CryptoChart, making for easy startup and easy integration with your current PACS system or directly from a modality. CryptoChart is vendor-agnostic.

Where can I find training?

You can find training materials, including a startup guide and explanatory videos, on the install page.

What if I am not subject to sales tax?

If you are not subject to Sales Tax, you can still sign up for CryptoChart online. To ensure you are not charged sales tax, please send your current Sales Tax Exemption Certificate to salesops@novarad.net. A Novarad representative will contact you to confirm Novarad’s receipt of your valid Sales Tax Exemption Certificate.

What if I don’t have permission to sign the contracts for my facility?

Unfortunately, you do need to have the proper authority to be able to sign the service contract for your facility. If you are not sure who that is, please consult your department head. Once you sign up to begin the CryptoChart process, you will receive an email with links to PDF copies of each contract.

How do I find my Static IP address?

You will need to get a static IP Address from your PACS Admin or IT Support Staff
It will be a series of numbers, generally set up like this: 192.168.1.XX.

How does CryptoChart connect to my modalities and PACS?

You will need to set up a DICOM route from your modality and/or PACS to the CryptoChart Image router. You will need the following information:
Port 104 AE Title: novapacs IP address: This is the IP address assigned to the CryptoChart Image Router. Consult your IT staff for assistance.

Is it possible to scan the codes without a smartphone? Do I need any special equipment?

Any smartphone can scan the QR codes produced by CryptoChart, but they can also be scanned by barcode readers. One is included in your original CryptoChart package, after that we can offer several recommendations of barcode scanners that are Novarad vetted and approved.

How do I cancel my trial or subscription?

You can easily cancel your CrytpoChart trial or subscription. You will need to call our support team (801) 216-3802 and arrange the return of the hardware. Once everything is returned, we will cancel your account. If the hardware is not returned in excellent working condition, your facility will be charged up to $1000. You will receive a final charge for usage of the product prior to cancellation.
