American Fork, Utah, July 23, 2012 – Novarad has installed its NovaPro™ RIS/PACS web-based teleradiology system as part of Emory Teleradiology, a service of Emory Healthcare that serves 15 non-Emory facilities.
NovaPro is a complete RIS & PACS system, available as an installed system or SaaS, designed specifically for radiology groups. It can receive and display DICOM images from unlimited, unaffiliated image-producing practices. Reports can be distributed via email, fax or direct HL7 messaging to a HIS, RIS or EMR/EHR.
The Teleradiology program at Emory offers a wide range of radiology services available for 24- hour coverage for subspecialties including musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
“Our [radiology information systems] are built by radiologists for radiologists to help simplify reading, improve productivity, and help our customers, like Emory, meet their business growth objectives,” Steve Fowler, product marketing director at Novarad Corporation. “Emory has an ambitious vision for expanding its teleradiology service and NovaPro will help make this a reality.”
Novarad South, a Novarad distributor, facilitated the Emory Healthcare contract and will host the servers for Emory Healthcare’s NovaPro SaaS implementation.
