[vc_column width=”1/2″]SALT LAKE CITY—Utah-based healthcare technology company, Novarad, will exhibit its latest advancements in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and universal viewing technology at the Healthcare Information and Management System (HIMSS) conference and exhibition.

“We look forward to HIMSS each year,” Paul Shumway, senior vice president of Novarad, said. “We’ve always been focused on the value of health information technology, and HIMSS is the perfect place to celebrate that and to get the latest innovations in front of the right people.”

HIMSS is set to welcome more than 38,000 healthcare industry professionals where they will learn about and discuss health IT issues, and on the exhibit floor, view innovative solutions designed to transform healthcare.

“The exhibition floor at the Annual HIMSS Conference offers our attendees the chance to see, interact with and learn about the many health IT solutions and services offered by our exhibitors. Understanding how IT can – and does – improve health truly becomes reality on the three days our exhibit floor is open during HIMSS15,” said Karen Malone, vice president, meeting services, HIMSS North America.

Novarad’s VDI, NovaGlass, is built not only to virtualize any desktop environment or application, but to increase speed and performance while doing so. The application is scalable and can handle anywhere from a few to a few thousand users.

“NovaGlass is the first VDI to be built specifically for healthcare,” Shumway said. “Its purpose is to make everything about a hospital’s computer network better. Speed, efficiency, the number of devices you can use. Everything.”

The MARZ Patient-Centric Universal Viewer allows physicians, nurses and other staff to access and view both DICOM and non-DICOM information on any device through a web browser.

The HIMSS conference will take place April 12 – 16 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. Novarad will exhibit at booth 6939. To learn more about Novarad, follow the company on Twitter, @NovaradCorp, or visit www.novarad.net.
