SALT LAKE CITY (August 25, 2017) – Novarad Corporation, a leader in the development of medical imaging software, has been selected as a semifinal candidate for three categories in the 2017 edition of the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com’s campaign to recognize the best and brightest in medical imaging.
Earlier this year, Novarad’s OpenSight augmented reality software was used to assist in an Automated Percutaneous Lumbar Discectomy (APLD), an operation that has been nominated for Hottest Clinical Procedure. Novarad’s ChameleonDR product has been nominated in the Best New Radiology Device category, and the company’s OpenSight product has been nominated for Best New Radiology Software.
“We are proud to be included in the Minnies,” said Fred Trovato, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Novarad. “We have great confidence in the medical significance of our new product developments, and are already conducting implementations of these recently announced innovations.”
According to AuntMinnie.com, Minnies winners will be selected by an expert panel in two rounds of voting. Finalists will be announced in late September, with final winners to be announced in October.
