Novarad Gets Bigger in Texas

American Fork, Utah–January 19, 2011–Novarad continues to expand its installations in Texas, adding PACS, radiology information systems and NovaMG contracts at three hospitals and one clinic.

The facilities include:

– Glen Rose Medical Center in Glen Rose installed NovaPACS, NovaRIS, NovaMG breast imaging viewer

– Hamilton General Hospital in Hamilton, installed NovaPACS

– The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center in Austin installed NovaPACS

– Dallas Nephrology, a Dallas clinic, installed NovaPACS. Novarad South, a Novarad distributor, facilitated the contract.

NovaPACS is Novarad’s complete, turnkey PACS system offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer.

To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers the NovaRIS scheduling and automated billing solution. NovaRIS also contains specialized worklists and interfaces for administrative assistants, technologists, radiologists, transcriptionists, and billing specialists.

The NovaMG breast imaging viewer combines the tool set of NovaPACS with customizable mammographic reading and hanging protocol sequences. FDA 510(k) cleared and IHE compliant, it supports multi-modality viewing and iCad and R2 structured reports. The viewer enables direct receipt of digital mammographic images from the modality while pre-fetching from the PACS archive is initiated via DICOM modality work list.
