Novarad adds PACS for CA Hospital Group

garfieldmontereyAmerican Fork, Utah, Jan. 4, 2011 – Novarad expands its PACS system installations in California, adding PACS contracts at two additional AHMC hospitals, Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital.

In 2010, NovaPACS was installed at AHMC’s Greater El Monte Hospital. AHMC hospitals serve the Greater San Gabriel Valley area of California and treat more than 200,000 patients annually.

With NovaPACS the hospitals anticipate that reading and reporting turnaround will significantly improve because its radiologists will have the benefit of customizable menus, saved preferences, stat reads, and check-out and e-sign capabilities.

NovaPACS is Novarad’s complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers the NovaRIS scheduling and automated billing solution.

“We’re told our affordable pricing model is what first sets us apart when our PACS is evaluated, but it is the system’s robust features, support and rapid installation that seal deal after deal,” said Paul Shumway, vice president at Novarad. “Our beginnings were focused on providing complete and affordable systems to community hospitals and that vision remains a primary focus for us today.”
