Nashville 2013

We are excited for you to join us at NovaradConnect this year in the Music City Capital, Nashville. This year’s conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, right next to the Grand Ole Opry Music Hall. The resort is conveniently located just minutes from the Nashville International Airport and will provide an excellent view of the Cumberland River, which runs through the heart of Nashville. The gardens within the resort are one of Nashville’s top attractions. Filled with flowers, rivers and waterfalls, Opryland’s gardens provide a taste of the south in an air conditioned environment.

For those arriving early or staying late, Nashville is a vibrant city with a number of things to do, no matter your interests. While many of the top billed attractions have their roots in country music there are a number that have a unique historical value. The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, offers a unique look at the President’s life and history. Situated on 1,100 acres, you can plan a whole day, or just a few hours around the things to be seen at The Hermitage. Another odd attraction is The Parthenon. A near exact replica of the renowned Greek structure stands in Centennial Park just outside of downtown Nashville. It’s free to walk the perimeter of the structure and inside, the museum details The Parthenon’s emergence in Nashville.

We would be remissed not to mention the city’s sprawling country music scene. Start with the Grand Ole Opry at the resort, you can catch a show at one of country music’s most storied venues. Nashville is also is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame which features country music’s evolution throughout the years. If you want to see country music at its roots, Honky Tonk bars are a good starting point. Almost a dozen can be found on Broadway Street which runs through the heart of downtown and don’t be surprised if a country superstar pops in for an impromptu performance.

Once again, we are excited to host you this year in Nashville. We hope you enjoy your stay and the NovaradConnect conference!
