For the Radiologist…Customizing and Saving Filters

This article was written by Zoe Thompson, a Clinical Applications Specialist at Novarad.

If you use a frequent search to sort and categorize studies (for example, Time Frame and Modality), you are able to speed up your workflow by utilizing the ‘Save Filters’ function. This reduces the amount of time needed to find the view you are looking for.

Customizing and Saving Filters

The Saved Filters drop-down list allows users to create and save custom filters for settings used on a regular basis. To save a custom filter, complete the following steps:

1. Select the settings you want to save in all the filter fields by right-clicking the filters and selecting the options you want from the drop-down lists.

2. Select Edit Saved Filters from the Saved Filters drop-down list

3. Enter a name for the new filter in the Save Current Filters As field.

4. Click the OK button to save the filter

Selecting a Saved Filter

To select and apply a previously saved filter, complete the following steps:

1. Click on the Saved Filters drop-down list.

2. Select the saved filter you want from the list.

Note: All the filters in the filter group will immediately change to the saved filters, and the Filtered Studies list will update to reflect the results for those filters.
